James Staruck
President & Chief Executive Officer
Jim Staruck is the President and Chief Executive Officer of GreatBanc Trust Company. He has served as GreatBanc’s President since 2010 and CEO since 2013. Mr. Staruck is also a member of the company’s Board of Directors.
Prior to joining GreatBanc in 2004, Mr. Staruck practiced law at a leading Chicago law firm where he specialized in ESOP acquisitions and sales, debt and equity financings, and general corporate law. His 25+ years in business and law give him a unique blend of acumen that has been pivotal in cementing GreatBanc as the leading ESOP and fiduciary services provider in the country.
Mr. Staruck received his Juris Doctor (JD) from the DePaul University College of Law, a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with an emphasis in finance from DePaul University’s Kellstadt Graduate School of Business, and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Finance from the University of Illinois.
He is an active member of the Employee-Owned S Corporations of America (ESCA), The ESOP Association (TEA), and the National Center for Employee Ownership (NCEO).
